So I finally got to watch a film I've wanted to watch for a very long time, Darfur Now. If you don't know, it's a documentary that follows six people with the same goal, to free Darfur of genocide. This is as big of an issue now as past horrific problems were like, Nazi Germany, attacks in Argentina in 1976, murders in Rwanda, ect. People often blind themselves and indulge in ignorance but instead of not doing anything stand apart from the non-moving crowds and push yourself to do something for the simple need to want to change a life. Wether you sign a petition, begin to travel as a humanitarian, donate, or write a blog that you hope people really read. "Do ALOT more than nothing!" If these words mean nothing, watch this film and if this issue still means nothing well that is just beyond what my words can handle. If you do want to try to push for change, something is always better than nothing. http://www.takepart.com/darfurnow/ go to that link and you will find more information and ways you can help. Even though these issues started in 2004 and have been addressed people are still dying and together we can change but divided we will fall.
"Those people who go to school and get an education are the ones who will solve the problem but fighting with guns, that will not solve it. Even in a hundred years." -Hejewa Adam (Darfur rebel/soldier)
